I moved him to a nursing home in the town I live in now and was faced with the reality he would never return to his house. The house was in need of repairs before I could list it with a realtor, which were adding up to be very costly, and the bills from the nursing home were beginning to pile up. I had a house I couldn’t afford to sell and nursing home bills he couldn’t afford to pay.That’s when I found Jon, he offered to purchase the house “As Is” for a very fair price and in a timely manner. I didn’t need to do any repairs, I didn’t need a realtor, and I would have cash in a few days. Way too good to be true, right? What’s the catch, right? I am telling you these were the questions bouncing around in my mind. After talking with Jon a bit and listening to what he was doing, and after talking about my situation with him, I felt comfortable that he was going to do exactly what he said he would.It was the best decision I ever could have made. The title was transferred yesterday right after the funds were wired directly to my bank account.
